CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Layoffs are expected next week at several NASCAR teams and related companies, sources within the racing industry told NewsChannel 36.

Nov. 12 (Bloomberg) — Dale Earnhardt Inc., founded by the late seven-time Nascar champion, will merge with Chip Ganassi Racing to field four teams next season in the Sprint Cup Series, the top level of stock-car competition.
